Anna Kost - Basics 005

Emerging German artist Anna Kost follows last year's track on Soma with the first of two new EPs on Scuba's Hotflush Recordings offshoot Who Whom. The Very End Of You, works flavours of Techno and Bass into an accessible form. Opening track Basic 005 is my fav with crunchy drums and a subtle play on tension and release.

JK Flesh - Others To Do Your Dirty Work

One of the highlights from the recent JK Flesh album New Religions Old Rules. A solid head-nodder!

Goodness me, how about this for a collaboration? Plastikman and Chilly Gonzales have teamed up for a reimagining of Hawtin’s 1998 album Consumed, called Consumed In Key. Check out the taster track here:

Album will be released on 1st April via Turbo Recordings.

Fabrizio De Santis - Inside

Opening track from the new Fabrizio De Santis Elements EP is a rock solid floor wrecker.

Out now on Paul Ritch's Quartz Rec imprint, I imagine some remixes would go down a treat.

J.Blofeld - 47 (Headless Horseman Rework)

This Headless Horseman remix of title track 47, from J.Blofeld's upcoming EP is a beaut; emotive, driving and rousing!

More like an album, the nine tracks, including mixes from Mark Broom, CYRK, Kaiser and Cri Du Coeur, cover a range of styles, making for a enjoyable listen. Out next week on Arkham Audio.

Slam + Rebekah - Believe In The Night

Goodness me do these Slam boys know how to write a banging Techno tune! Their recent Louder Than Chaos series of collaborations has been exemplary so far, with particular highlights from Hector Oaks and Perc. This two-tracker with Rebekah is the third of five releases in the series and Believe In The Night is another highlight, tipping the balance by a baw-hair towards the headphone listener.

Louder Than Chaos Vol. 3 is out on Friday 26th November via Soma Records. Slam will be teaming up with Amelie Lens and AnD for the last two EPs in the series.

JP Enfant - Muzieklokaal

Pleasant, upbeat and melodic track from former Trouw/De School resident JP Enfant, lifted from forthcoming EP Somewhere Else.

bastinov - Origine

Decent EP from the Italian maker comprising five originals and a couple of remixes (from VNTM and Paride Saraceni). Closing track Attitudine Mentale is a memorable, high energy, Breakbeat-tastic affair with a cool vocal sample but my fav is opening statement and title track Origine, with its cold, dark Techno heart, all murky and minimal.

EP is released on Dutch label Infinite Depth on 24th September.

Slam launch a new series on Friday this week called Louder Than Chaos. The first of five volumes features collaborations with 999999999, Hector Oaks and Optic Nerve (aka Keith Tucker). Future releases will see the Glaswegian duo work with Amelie Lens, Rebekah, AnD and Perc.

Markus Suckut - Promised Land

Four fine Techno cuts make up Markus Suckut's new EP Blurred Memories I but Promised Land is my highlight (Eyes comes a close second though).
