Originally released in 1995 on Loop Records, Blue Hour Music will be reissuing the classic More Love EP from Agent Orange (aka Cari Lekebusch) on 26th April, with a Blue Hour remix included in the package. Snippets available on Bandcamp.
First new material from Emika in a trilogy of forthcoming releases called Vega, marries punchy Techno rhythms with a spoken word monologue, framed in a Sci-fi guise.
Celebrating ten years since her debut self-titled album, Vega will contain some reimagined versions of classic tracks from her Ninja Tune catalogue, (like Professional Loving) as well collaborations with Horace Andy from Massive Attack and Rødhåd, among others.

Garbage - La Fraicheur
Driving rhythms with an emotive and contentious vocal sample on this new track from La Fraicheur, taken from forthcoming Tabula Rasa EP on Lobster Theremin.

I Hate Models - Disco Inferno 01 - the French producer Guillaume Labadie is launching a new label called Disco Inferno this Friday (Feb 12) with his own name attached to the inaugural release. Disco Inferno 01 comprises three pounding tracks in his familiar 145 BPM guise, each brimming with melody and the right level of rousing spirit. And if you ignore the annoying sample that tramples all over the first couple of minutes of Sad Groove, it turns out to be the highlight with its Depeche Mode-inspired vocal refrain. All in, a very fine opening statement.
I'm entranced by the hypnotic rhythm on this gorgeous Dub Techno track from Manuele Chiaravalloti, aka Mod21, who was inspired by Richard Serra’s installation at the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, comprising eight pieces of torqued ellipses made of weathering steel.
Sam Barker has released a video for his track Utility, taken from last year's celebrated debut album of the same name, and stars his mother and sister who have been influential in his musical development.
All three tracks from Lokier's new Preech EP hit the mark, but the title track is my particular fav. Banging Techno with a jaunty refrain, par excellence. The monochromatic red album cover shot with hazardous clothing is superb too!
Title track from this new EP by Trackmaster Dre is, to put it bluntly, a banger! Built on an addictive, funky bassline, it's an Acid Techno workout with an old-skool vibe that would satisfy the most disheartened Techno head.
