Shlømo gets the remix treatment from Oscar Mulero, Johannes Heil and Tripeo
French producer Shlømo aka Shaun Baron Carvais, gets the remix treatment on the latest release on Wolfskuil Records. Oscar Mulero and Johannes Heil tackle tracks from his last EP Vanished Breath while label head Tripeo sorts out Avadon (part 1) from his EP of the same name from 2015.
Heil beefs things up with a steady 4x4 beat and pushes the topline deeper into the mix, while Tripeo adds spiralling tension to a ricocheting rhythm. Mulero steals the show though with two remixes. Aiming at the floor, his take on Obsession simplifies the melody and reduces the rhythm complexity and in the process extracts a little of the original's pizazz. He compensates though with a complete overhaul of Vanished Breath, transforming Shlømo's short, Ambient opener into an example of the finest IDM (and if you like it, check out his his latest album for more of the same).
