Glorious electronic Pop from Russia
Russian artist Natasha Bai presents her superb debut EP Transsib (short for Trans-Siberian Railway) on Ransom Note Records, comprising four tracks of downright joyous electronic Pop that wouldn't sound out of place on Kompakt or Correspondant. Making favourable use of Trance-infused synth and squelchy bass, the title track sounds like Legowelt at his melodic finest. The vocal tracks bring accessibility: Your Kiss is like Kittin with a Russian accent while the 90 BPM of Just Say is closest to her previous work as Altai Princess. Lovely stuff.
