Automatic - Signal

Review

Signal by Automatic

Electronic Post Punk

Catchy Electronic Post Punk from LA trio formed in 2017. Mashing together eighties synthesiser lines with Krautrock rhythms, surf bass and scuzzy guitar, they're a tight-sounding unit who, over eleven short tracks of a satisfyingly melodic debut album called Signal, prove, with modest yet earnest swagger, that they mean business, even when they don't always deliver. Worth some investigation if there's any nostalgic bones in your body.
