The Sails p.1 by loscil

First in a two-part release from the Canadian artist Scott Morgan comprising various works commissioned especially for dance productions in the last eight years. Considering the disparity of starting point for each track, the cohesive bond that runs through the nine tracks is testament to Morgan's refined technique and careful track sequencing. Perhaps knowing they were written with choreography in mind has subliminally influenced my perception, but the sense of wondrous movement and dynamic, life-affirming energy prevails.

The second part will be released later this year.
