Matias Aguayo - El Internet

El Internet is a fine taster from the Chilean-born artist's new album due out on Rekids soon.

Julek ploski - Espresso

I've been enjoying Give Up Channel, the quirky new album by Julek ploski. Impossible to pin down, it's essentially an assault on the senses. Across its twelve tracks there's a colourful and arresting mash of sound design, with loud and quiet parts (classical instrumentation alongside banging techno) and all sorts of instruments and vocal samples involved; the interplay of which snaps for you attention. Listen to Espresso for the perfect example of the cleverly patched-together collages. (Think Oneohtrix Point Never and Lee Gamble for a ballpark.) I love the voice near the beginning yelling 'You fuckin' bastard!'.
