THE FALL: A Series of Documented Experiences by Borusiade
Electronic Head Music
Romanian artist Borusiade (real name Miruna Boruzescu) is back with a third album of seductive electronic song smithery. The familiar deep reverbed vocals sound as if they're coming from the basement, like we're eavesdropping on a private ritual, which makes sense when you realise that THE FALL: A Series of Documented Experiences is a 42 minute deep dive into the contours of memory and embodiment, or as the artist says:
the fragile bridge between body and mind
Symbolising their pursuits, the artwork uses an anatomical image (from Gautier D'Agoty’s Essai d'Anatomie) to represent the complexity of human heads. The music verges on dirge at times but the personal subject matter is handled tastefully using emotive rhythms and earwormy melody. Perfect for dark wavers in dark basements.
