Plying his trade since 2006, US musician Ric Miranda has established himself as a Deep House devotee (well, that's how his records are usually categorised in music shops), so the idea that his debut album is cut from Detroit Techno cloth may seem off-brand. Faithfully, he avoids pastiche by infusing the six tracks with his usual 'Deep' sensibility. And in the process throws a categorisation challenge to record shops with the smart album title: If It Ain't Deep.
