Dawn Mok - Eternal Love

Dawn Mok - Eternal Love

Debut album from shady collective sounds like a cooler James Blake

As described in the press release, Eternal Love, the debut album from relatively unknown international collective Dawn Mok, manages to capture:

dark shades of future RnB

... which sums up the album perfectly for me.

Inspired by artists like Prince and D'Angelo, vocalist Bundi presents a commercial RnB vocal style made palatable by the subtle, lo-fi and sometimes challenging electronic music produced by Felix Mura. It sounds like a cross between James Blake and Burial.

Out on Dial Records.
