Boards of Canada - Geogaddi

This is possibly my favourite album, it really is quite brilliant. And if I had to sum up concisely why I regard it so highly, I'd use the word nostaligia.

Boards of Canada are known to merge found sounds (from old film and TV recordings) with crackly beats and soft rhythms, all of which gives their music it's distinctly melancholic feel. Check out "Alpha And Omega" for a prime example.
