A new design!
It's been a while I know but I've finally refreshed the design of The Letter! The astute among you will notice that the new design hasn't changed too dramatically, so hopefully you're still feeling at home with the dark tones. If you always hankered after a brighter look-and-feel you'll be pleased to hear that I've added a "light mode" option (the mode switcher is at the bottom of the page).
The major change to the design is in the content curation and delivery, so while you'll still find the usual reviews, tunes and miscellaneous music-related links, you'll also find a few new features:
- Quoted - gossip, threads and interesting stuff from folk on our Twitter list
- Buzz Buzz Buzz - all the music that deserves your attention but doesn't get a full review
- New Releases - from the artists I follow on Bandcamp
- On The Stereo - a daily snapshot of what I'm listening to
- Quizzes - a challenging but fun weekly quiz
- Polls - topical questions
A proper newsletter
The thing I'm most excited about is the new weekly newsletter. Essentially a weekly digest of (pretty much) everything I add to the site. I've consolidated existing mailing lists into a single system, so you should expect to receive your newsletter on Friday afternoons (GMT) if you were already a subscriber. New subscribers sign up here.

If you still need your daily fix, the RSS feed has also been updated to reflect the changes. And you can still get the updates via the automated Twitter account.
