Tint - My New Murex

Debut EP from American hardcore guitarist turned electronic experimentalist

Here's an interesting EP from a guy called Tint (real name Zane Morris) out on True Panther Sounds, called My New Murex. With a background in hardcore guitar bands Morris has gradually been moving in a more electronic and experimental direction, as this three track selection demonstrates.

After just a couple of listens I was immediately taken by second track Even Everly's, which shares the same fun, sampling treatment to that found on A Paw in My Face by The Field (where Axel Willner sampled Lionel Ritchie's Hello). And with more time, I'm sure you'll agree that Double Dribble is the perfect blend of distorted guitar, tamed and electronic-ified.
