Building on his small but celebrated back catalogue of melodius stadium bangers, new track Spreading Plague, from little-known French producer I Hate Models, is destined for classic status. Constructed like a rock anthem it could easily translate to heavy guitar chords and a vocal, and herein lies the secret of its success: it's got crossover appeal!

Future classic. As we're talking Techno though, what we get is a thumping bass drum that kicks! Throw in some metallic percussion and it starts to feel right at home on Perc Trax. For nearly ten minutes this epic rolls along, reaching out to every corner of the capital with its memorable vocal snippet "North, South, East, West London", the clever electronic techniques employed to mimic guitar feedback are genius!

The remix. How do you rework an already near perfect track? Label boss Perc shows us how. He steps in with his own austere take on things, by stripping away all the melodius fluff and pumping bad blood into its core capillaries, increasing tension tenfold in the process. It's not quite as good as the original though.

B-side. Martial Order is the youngest sibling in the family, closely resembling its older brother but the level of mimicry is overt. In essense, what we have is a stripped down version of Spreading Plague that focuses mainly on the core rhythm.
