A few good tunes from Rafael Anton Irisarri, Ólafur Arnalds, Species Of Fishes, xex, Dj Spider & Phil Moffa and Derya Yildirim & Grup ÅžimÅŸek.
- Rafael Anton Irisarri - RH Negative - an enormous slab of power, emotive hurricanes, warning bells.. ohh so good. From the new album The Shameless Years (also very good)
- Ólafur Arnalds - 1440 - ice cold piano, chilling and dreamy. Celebrating 10 years since its release (and coinciding his own 30th birthday) the Erased Tapes stalwart re-releases his debut album Eulogy For Evolution
- Species Of Fishes - Crash Recovery - originally released in 1996, Trip Trap could be considered a forgotten classic that has been given a new lease of life through Nina Kravitz's new Ambient label Galaxiid. Crash Recovery certainly sounds timeless
- xex - Fun In The Sun - Dark Entries uncover a previously unreleased second album from eighties synthesiser band xex. Taken from 1981 album xex:change... sounds very contemporary
- Dj Spider & Phil Moffa - First Contact - standout track from new collaborative EP entitled V - rolling Techno. Out on Berlin-based Italian label Out-ER
- Derya Yildirim & Grup ÅžimÅŸek - Nem Kaldi - a bit of a curveball this one: Anatolian Psych-Pop... Turkish Pop (imagine George Harrison on sitar)
