Ombrar - In The Mud

In The Mud is my highlight from Ombrar's debut EP, Walking on Thin Ice, out now on Skryptöm. With its Techno and Breaks rhythms and a light tension build, it delivers an emotional ride. The other five tracks undulate over turbulent and haunting Ambient to thumping Techno.

Sandwell District - Surrender To The Unknown

The Techno supergroup, comprising Peter Sutton (Female), David Sumner (Function), Juan Mendez (Silent Servant) and Karl O’Connor (Regis) are re-releasing their 2010 album, Feed Forward, on vinyl on 28th July via The Point Of Departure Recording Company. Available on digital for the first time too, it comes with a new track called Surrender To The Unknown, which sounds surprisingly fresh considering it was made around the time of the original recording sessions.

Anna Kost - Basics 005

Emerging German artist Anna Kost follows last year's track on Soma with the first of two new EPs on Scuba's Hotflush Recordings offshoot Who Whom. The Very End Of You, works flavours of Techno and Bass into an accessible form. Opening track Basic 005 is my fav with crunchy drums and a subtle play on tension and release.

Fabrizio De Santis - Inside

Opening track from the new Fabrizio De Santis Elements EP is a rock solid floor wrecker.

Out now on Paul Ritch's Quartz Rec imprint, I imagine some remixes would go down a treat.
