Loew - Strange Loop
Here's another catchy electronic Pop tune that sits comfortably in the Bicep and Arcsec camp; it's by an emerging producer from Northern Ireland called Loew. Strange Loop follows his debut EP 2 Doves 1 Snowball from earlier this year.
Strange Loop is released on Friday 26th November on Renaissance Records.
Skream - Sad Days
Another top-notch track from Mr Jones on his blossoming new imprint IFEEL (an official pandemic label!) marries breakbeats with an IDM-flavoured melody. Builds up, breaks down and drops with aplomb.
On remix duties, Irish artist Jordan Rafferty, aka DART, beefs up the breakbeats with a driving rhythm and the threat of an Acid attack while retaining the pleasing melody.
Six Tracks #6 - comprising six belters to please your sexy ears. Regular readers will be familiar with four of them already but I've included a new one from the new Alder / Fasme Acid Avengers EP (due out mid-September on Tripalium Corp) and a surprise cover version of Roygbiv, the Boards of Canada classic, by Third Son, taken from his album of surprising covers Retrograde.

Second release on Skream's new label Ifeel (not to be confused with International Feel) follows the rollicking rhythms of Chester's Groove. This one you may have heard before, it's one everyone's been asking about: Trees. A classic in the making, it carries the accessible bounce of Bicep and holds a perfectly balanced air of melancholy, with it's vocal sample treatment and poignant piano chords. Upcoming Russian artist Maruwa turns in a beefier, more floor-focussed version, with Acid undertones.
Skream - Chesters Groove
Oliver Jones, aka Skream, today launches his new label IFEEL with a track called Chesters Groove, an intense Techno chugger. Berghain resident Norman Nodge provides two fine remixes (named Yang and Ying) the former a slightly beefier translation of the original while the latter adds extra percussion and eases the tension.
Skream says the label will be a showcase for his own productions, with no restrictions on genre.
