Cigarette packaging

Pentagram propose some radical new cigarette packaging to fall in line with new US legislation related to the marketing of cigarettes, including the requirement that colourful ads and displays be replaced with black-and-white-only text. And these new designs are certainly pretty unattractive.

    BJ Cunningham got there first in the 90s with his 'Death' brand cigarettes. He used the skull and crossbones and scary messages as a brand - and it worked.
