cool watch design
9th Dec 2007
I've been on the lookout for a new watch for years and I've not found what I'm looking for yet. Of course, I've certainly found many watches I'd have snapped-up without a second thought had factors like price and availability not got in the way. The main problem though is that I haven't been able to decide what I actually want.
For a while I wanted a digital timepiece with a rubber (or polyurethane) strap. It had to be sleak and simple with a square face. And largely those requirements remain. The most important element however is colour: there has to be a bold colour somewhere. Then I decided that I wasn't too bothered about it being digital and would happily settle for an analogue variety. And I started to favour chunky rather than sleak. Then I decided that the strap had to be the same width as the face.
I realise the more specific I get the harder it becomes, which is why I'm still looking! So, in no particlular order, here's some of the best I've turned down.

Damn, I thought you'd finally made a decision when I saw the Bell and Ross watch - I quite like that one too but a little bit over both our budgets, I'm sure.

Yeah, I saw Quadtec, though I wasn't that keen to be honest. Thanks for the tip anyway :-)
