Max Cooper - Human

Review

Human by Max Cooper

Debut album from the ex-scientist is a glorious affair

If you're familiar with any of Max Cooper's prolific body of work prior to his debut album Human, then you'll be pleased to hear it's business as usual. Tougher moments, like Potency and Impacts are balanced with blissful tunes like Adrift and Empyrean. The vocal contributions from Kathrin deBoer in particular happily remind me of Lou Rhodes from Lamb. Top moment has to be Seething, with it's gentle introduction that menacingly builds and builds.
