I absolutely LOVE the Fabric series of mix CD's ... and this one compiled by the head of the Cologne based Kompakt record label, Michael Mayer, is a stonker! Apparently he recorded the whole mix in one take! Expertly mixed with an overall chilled groove, there isn't a duff track to be found.
Particular favourites include the hypnotic groove of obag Wruhme and Wighnomy Brothers' Killerteppic, the addictive Jackson Remix of M83 and Benoit Villeneuve's Run Into Flowers and the Piano Mix of WestBam and Nena's Oldschool. The latter track providing the best vocal contribution to the overall mix.
